Refund policy

Because our products are made to order using print-on-demand partners, our returns and refunds work differently from traditional retail. This policy explains how we handle issues with your order.


1. Made-to-Order (Print-on-Demand)

All items are made to order specifically for you once a purchase is placed. We do not carry inventory, and items are produced and shipped by our print partner network (including Printify and its fulfillment partners).

For this reason, we are generally unable to accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind

  • Ordering the wrong size, color, or design

  • Deciding you do not like the product after receiving it

Please check our size guides and product details carefully before ordering.


2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Defective (e.g., print error, visible quality issue)

  • Incorrect (wrong item, size, color, or print compared to your order)

we will work with you to replace or refund the item, subject to the conditions below.

2.1 How to report a problem

Please email us at support@mekonnenknife.com within 30 days of delivery (or estimated delivery for lost packages).
Include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos showing:

    • The defective or damaged area

    • The full product

    • The packaging and shipping label (if applicable)

This helps us file a claim with our print partner and resolve your issue quickly.

2.2 Resolutions

Depending on the issue, we may offer:

  • A free replacement of the affected item, or

  • A refund to your original payment method

We reserve the right to determine the appropriate resolution based on the evidence provided and our print partner’s policies.


3. Lost Packages / Non-Delivery

If your order has not arrived within a reasonable time after the expected delivery date:

  1. Check the tracking link

  2. Confirm the shipping address in your order

  3. Check with household members or neighbors

If still undelivered, contact us at support@mekonnenknife.com.

If the carrier confirms the package is lost or undelivered, we will generally:

  • Replace the item, or

  • Refund the order


4. Returns & Exchanges (Physical Returns)

Because items are printed on demand and shipped directly from our print partners:

  • We do not accept general returns to a central warehouse

  • We do not offer standard size or style exchanges unless there was a production error

  • In most cases, you will not be asked to return any items

If a physical return is required for a specific issue, we will provide instructions individually.
Please do not send any items back without contacting us first.


5. Order Changes & Cancellations

Orders go into production shortly after being placed.
For this reason:

  • Changes or cancellations may not be possible

  • If you need to modify or cancel an order, contact us at support@mekonnenknife.com immediately

If production has not yet begun, we will try to accommodate your request.


6. Refunds (if applicable)

If a refund is approved:

  • It will be issued to your original payment method

  • Processing times vary depending on your bank or payment provider

We will confirm by email when your refund has been issued.


7. Non-Refundable Situations

Unless required by law, we cannot offer refunds or replacements in the following situations:

  • Wrong size, color, or design ordered

  • “Change of mind” after production begins

  • Minor print or color variations due to monitor differences

  • Customer dislikes the item but it is not defective

  • Claim made more than 30 days after delivery


8. International Orders

Customs duties, taxes, or import fees may apply and are the responsibility of the customer.

Due to high international shipping costs and customs policies, international orders are generally not returnable, except for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.
